Cancellation Policy

Some items in our store may be offered to you as a subscription, a pre-order, or try before you buy. This cancellation policy lays out how you can change or cancel these kinds of purchases.

Subscriptions

When you purchase a subscription you'll receive repeat deliveries. These are based on the subscription duration and frequency that you select.

Your payment details will be stored securely and you'll be charged for each of these deliveries, unless you choose to pay in advance.

Some subscriptions may auto-renew at the end of their duration. If you don't want to renew a subscription you can cancel it.

If you want to cancel or change your subscription, you can do it at any time. Your order confirmation emails have links to your order — you can manage your subscription from there.

Pre-orders

When you purchase a pre-order, you are buying an out-of-stock or soon-to-be-available product not yet in inventory. We may collect no payment or a partial deposit at checkout, store your payment method, then fulfill and charge the full or remaining payment at a future date.

You can cancel a partially paid pre-order that has not yet been fulfilled. If the order has been fulfilled, then you can't cancel the order, but you can request a full or partial refund. See our refund policy for more details on returns and refunds.

Try before you buy

When you purchase a try before you buy item, we authorize your payment method before fulfilling the order. You will have a certain amount of time to decide if you want to keep the item. Once the time period has passed, if you have not returned the item, we will charge your payment method for the full amount.

Cancellation Policy

Because our products and services are custom and digital in nature, and because we begin working on your song immediately after you place your order, our cancellation and refund policies are as follows:

For 7-Day Custom Songs:

  • If you cancel within 2 hours of purchase, you will receive a full refund (100%).
  • If you cancel in 2–24 hours after ordering, you will receive a 50% refund.
  • If you cancel more than 24 hours after ordering, no refund will be issued because significant work has already been deployed in the creation process.

For 6 and 24-Hour Express Songs:

Due to the expedited nature of this service and the immediate commencement of work, 6 and 24-Hour Express Song orders are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled once placed.

Cancellation requests must be submitted promptly to hello@tellatune.com and may be approved or declined at our sole discretion based on the status of your order.

Refund Policy

All songs are personalized based on your inputs and cannot be resold. As such, refunds are generally not available once work has begun or delivery has occurred.

No refunds for errors or corrections: If there is any error in your song (wrong name, incorrect quiz data, etc.), you must contact us at hello@tellatune.com within the first 48 hours of the song being delivered. We will make small corrections to fix any errors at no additional charge. Refunds are not given in these situations.

Add-ons, rush/priority delivery (including 24-Hour Express), and other upgrades are non-refundable once purchased.

If we are unable to deliver substantially as described in your order due to an error solely on our part, we may, at our option, re-deliver the digital product or provide a refund. Any approved refund will be issued to the original payment method; processing times vary by provider. Payment processor fees, third-party production, or fulfillment costs may be non-refundable and may be deducted from any refund where permitted by law.

If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us first at hello@tellatune.com so we can help resolve it. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may delay resolution; we reserve the right to dispute chargebacks and to suspend accounts associated with abusive or fraudulent disputes.

Revisions and Small Changes

We want you to love your song. To ensure your satisfaction, we offer the following revision policy:

One-Time Small Edits: You are entitled to one (1) round of small edits for corrections, which must be requested within 14 days of the delivery date of your song. Eligible corrections include: correcting names or details from your quiz, and minor adjustments to lyrics or phrasing.

Major Changes: Requests for major style changes, melody changes, or substantial rewrites may incur an additional fee, which will be communicated to you before any work is undertaken.

Revision requests must be submitted to hello@tellatune.com within the 14-day period. Requests made after this period may be declined or subject to additional charges at our sole discretion.

Errors and Technical Issues

If there are technical problems preventing you from accessing your song, or if there is any error in your delivered product, you must contact us at hello@tellatune.com.

We will correct the issue or provide a replacement file at no additional charge. No refunds will be issued for errors or technical issues. Our sole remedy in such cases is to provide a corrected or replacement file.
